Solution

The healthcare courier implemented Intermec’s CN70 handheld devices for several different uses. When they pick up an item, they use the device to scan the preprinted barcodes each driver carries with them, or they scan the preexisting barcode on the package or item(s). The CN70 can be used as an imager to capture signature or product images. Upon delivery, the driver scans the barcode again signifying delivery. The CN70 also has GPS capabilities. The company’s dispatch no longer needs to use a two-way radio, they use the CN70 to communicate through texting and emails. They can track and trace the driver throughout the entire delivery, providing real-time location information back to each customer.
